| 英文描述 | A series of horses developed severe muscle spasms that were not associated with exercise; the signs could be mistaken for those of abdominal pain, colic. Percussion of muscles sometimes caused contraction of muscle groups. There was no evidence of known causes of such signs, but the horses recovered when ear ticks (OTOBIUS MEGNINI) were removed from their ears, and this syndrome was believed to be due to the ticks (Madigan et al.). Dx by exclusion of other causes, and by the relief of clinical signs from 1 day to 1 week after removal of the ticks. |
